Junior Runs Out of Gas on Final Lap as Harvick Collects Third Win at Charlotte [VIDEO]

It may have been the best race of 2011, as a collection of drivers looked to be dominant throughout the night.  Early on Carl Edwards raced away from the field for what felt like an hour.  Matt Kenseth, Greg Biffle and Kasey Kahne each ran up front for extended periods.

But after Jimmie Johnson brought out a late caution with a blown engine, signaling a green-white-checker, and leaving half the field gambling on gas mileage, it was Dale Earnhardt Jr. out in front as the roaring Charlotte crowd prepared their handkerchiefs to collect the tears.  Then there was no gas.  Junebug faded.  And who else but Kevin Harvick surged forward to claim his third win of the season.
