Serie A, Week 31 Preview: Scudetto Showdown

The Milan Derby is tomorrow.  As if there wasn’t enough tension and drama associated with a typical Serie A derby, let alone the Derby della Madonnina, the result of this one could very well decide who wins the scudetto.  Milan currently sits 2 points ahead of city rivals Inter, but it is Inter that looks to be the in-form team at the moment.  Inter has been playing with the same style and confidence that led them to an historic treble last season, while Milan has struggled to secure just a point from the last two games, and will be without Zlatan Ibrahimovic who is still serving suspension.  It should be a very special night at the San Siro tomorrow.

In other action, Juve and Roma face off at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, on Sunday.  Both teams have been struggling through disappointing campaigns, and both are fighting for places in Europe.  Three points Sunday, especially for Roma, may prove decisive in securing a place in Europe next season.

Lazio visit Napoli in a battle for Champions League qualification, and Udinese hopes to secure another three points, and take another step closer to the Champions League, when it travels to the Stadio Via Del Mare to take on Lecce.
